Budget Committee Meeting and Annual Budget Hearing
The Budget Committee is made up of 5 members of the community appointed by the Board of directors. These committee members meet with the 5 board members to make up the Budget Committee. Their resoponsibility is to review the proposed budget from the Budget Officer and set the tax rate. After they approve the budget, the Budget Officer then presents it to the Board of Directors of adoption . In the June at the Regular Board Meeting the Board opens the annual Budget Hearing to collect input from the community on the approved Budget. Aftyer closing the hearing, the Board then through Resolution, adopts the budget. After this meeting the budget is submited to the county where they collect the taxes and distribute them to the Fire District trhroughout the year.
