Annual meeting of the Fire District Budget Committee. The Budget Committee deliberates the proposed budget created by the Budget Officer (Chief Sneddon). The Budget Committee is tasked with reviewed the budget request, ensuring the operations is properly funded while ensuring the public funds are properly considered for expenditures towards the mission of the Fire District.
The Committee is tasked with approving the Budget and approving the tax levy for the upcoming fiscal year. After this the budget is sent ot the Board of directors who will hold a public hearing to discuss the budget as nneded before formal adoption at the regular Board of Directors meeting that same night. The BOArd will then formaly adopt the Budget and levy the taxes through two resolutions during that meeting.
