Due to many complications, the Charleston Volunteer Fireighters Association has elected to not continue the Charleston Seafood Festival.  The original purpose when the Firefighters took the leadership position on the festival was to raise money for equipment for the Firei District and to fund comunity programs managed by the Volunteer Firefighters' Association.  Unfortunately, reent years the fesitval has not turned a profit and has actually cost the Assoicaiton money due to alack of vendors available and also a lack of members creating a hardship to manage the event.  The Association is seeking groups that would be interested in taking over the festival.  If there is a group interested, please leave a  message for the Association President at 541-888-3268.
